Mission Statement

The mission of the Big Bend Business Leadership Network is to educate and encourage employers to recruit, hire, train and retain employees with disabilities as part of promoting good business practices in the Big Bend area.

Vision

• Launch a public awareness campaign aimed at employers to recognize people with disabilities as an untapped labor source and potential customers.
• Expand the pool of qualified individuals in the workplace.
• Create an internship program through educational institutions, the local business community and government agencies that offers career development and a transition to the workforce.
• Create scholarship opportunities for students with disabilities.
• Create a link between educational institutions, the local business community, government agencies and service providers.
• Maximize employment opportunities for all individuals who want to work.
• Improve the lives of people with disabilities through gainful employment.
